Your weekly free printable inspirational quote awaits!
Have you ever had one of those days?
When you go to make your morning coffee and realize you ran out. There’s ice on your windshield that takes 20 minutes to chip off. And then you hit traffic on the way to dropping your kids off at school. You’re late for work. You’re waiting on your coworkers to provide you with that last piece of information you need to finish a project, and when they fail to deliver, your boss blames you. You get home, and the kids want no part of the dinner you cooked them, or the bath they need to take. And you start to think: “maybe the world is conspiring against me.”
Whether they happen sporadically or concentrated in one, horrible-no-good-very-bad day, we all experience challenges, and they just keep coming. Even if we can control certain aspects of our lives, no amount of planning or “having it all together” can prevent us from getting tripped up on a daily basis.
Our solution is to embrace the crazy. To laugh off the moments that may seem stressful at the time, but will end up being a great story you’ll tell to your kids when they are older. To extend yourself grace when situations are completely out of your control, and to see each obstacle as an opportunity to grow.
It’s not always in our power to change situations or people, but we can control our attitudes in seeking the beauty, the good, and the humor in all that life throws our way.
