Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, by now many of you (not me— I wish!) already have your holiday gifts purchased and ready to be wrapped. Even though I have yet to purchase one gift yet, I spent a good two hours earlier this week gawking over wrapping paper displays at The Container Store. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a nicely wrapped gift!
Instead of using those cheap-o “To/From” stickers that I usually slap on my gifts, I thought I’d step it up a notch this year, with some pretty gift tags. Here’s what you will need to create your gift tags:
- Printable template
- Optional backing template
- Heavy Paper Stock (suggested) or regular printer paper
- Scissors or a ruler, craft knife and cutting mat (recommended)
- Hole Punch
- Ribbon
Start by printing out the downloaded PDF. Set your printer to print as many copies as you need (there are eight tags per sheet). If you would like the back of your tags to have the striped pattern, simply flip the printed page over in the printer and print the backing template. Please note that every printer is different, and you may need to play around with this step!
Use a scissor or an exacto knife and ruler to trim out your tags.
Use the hole punch right where it is indicated on the template to create a spot to feed the ribbon through.
Don’t they look pretty?
The optional backing adds a nice touch when the tag is flipped over on the other side.
Feed the ribbon through the hole that was punched.
Address your tag to it’s recipient and attach it to your gift!
Please feel free to pin or pass along to family and friends. Look for the next giveaway in December! Do you have suggestions or requests for future giveaways? Please leave them in the comments section below.
