With my sister’s bridal shower around the corner, I have been in complete bridesmaid mode. I saw this as a perfect opportunity to create some beautiful printable bridal shower invitations to share with you!
This month I have created not one, but THREE free printables with TWO optional backers. For the first time on Elegance & Enchantment, you’ll be given the opportunity to type in your own information before printing. PLUS I will be giving away a complimentary customized set to one lucky winner (more details on this at the bottom of the post). Here is what you need to get started:
- Printable Bridal Shower Invitation + Extras PDF
- Optional Backing PDF
- Heavy Paper Stock
- A7 (5.25 x 7.25) mailing envelopes (for invitations)
- A1 (3.625 x 5.125) mailing envelopes (for thank you cards)
- Scissors or a ruler, craft knife and cutting mat (recommended)
- Font downloads (optional)
The set includes a bridal shower invitation, a recipe card and a matching flat thank you note, which you can have all ready to give to the bride for her to use. As I mentioned above, this PDF gives you the ability to type in your information (bride’s name, date, etc). However, you also have the option to simply print them and hand write in the information instead. To spare this blog post from being extra long, I am putting instructions for typing in your own text into a separate post, that you can find here.
The beautiful script font I used in the example is called Carolyna Pro Black, by Emily Lime. The font used for the rest of the information is called New Caledonia.
Start by printing your PDF file. If you want to add the optional backing (there is a striped black and striped pink available) just flip the printed page over and run the paper back through the printer before trimming, so it prints on the back side. Every printer is different, so you may want to do a test print to make sure your printer doesn’t flip the paper for you (in which case, you will want to feed it in with the printed side up).
Don’t forget to pick up some mailing envelopes! You can find them inexpensively in your local office supply store. The shimmery black envelopes can be ordered online. The sizes you need are: A7 (5.25 x 7.25) for the invitations and A1 (3.625 x 5.125) for the flat thank you cards.[divider]
And now, time for the giveaway! I will be giving away one CUSTOMIZED version of this printable set. The winner will send in the brides’s name, date, location, rsvp and registry information and I will format it to fit the invitation perfectly, using the fonts in the example or another font of your choice. You will have the option to change the colors, plus a round of revisions will also be included if needed. A new custom PDF will then be created for you to print!
Here’s how to enter:
- If you haven’t already, “like” our Facebook page. It’s a great way for us to stay connected so you can download more free printables in the future!
- Leave a comment in the comments section below, letting us know your relation to the bride (i.e. bridesmaid, maid of honor, mother of the bride).
That’s it! Make sure you have done both, in order to be entered and don’t forget to ask the other members of your bridal party to enter for a better chance at winning! A winner will be chosen and announced one month from this post on Tuesday, March 26th, 2013. Make sure to enter by 11:59 EST on Monday, March 25th, 2013.
Please feel free to pin or pass along to family and friends. Look for the next printable in March! Do you have suggestions or requests for future printables? Please leave them in the comments section below.
