This Random Acts of Kindness Printables post has been sponsored by Avery and compensation was received for my time in developing the post. All thoughts, ideas & opinions are my own.
Happy Random Acts of Kindness Week! I talk about kindness quite a bit here on Elegance & Enchantment and when I found out there was an entire week dedicated to this cause that I believe in so greatly, I knew I wanted to do something special to be a part of it. Many of us have the desire to do nice things for others, but aren’t always sure what to do, when to do it and how we can execute random acts of kindness to strangers without coming off like a creep.
Since I can be a little shy, I thought that the best way for me to express kindness to others would be through written words and in small acts that don’t require me to get all up in people’s faces. This printable pack I’ve created is sort of like a mini “kindness campaign.” What better way to create my campaign materials than using my Avery goodies that are already set up so I have to do zero cutting, trimming or adhering?
I use Avery products for so many of my printables, that I just keep a giant stack on hand at all times. The two that I used for this project were Matte White Notecards (which comes with envelopes: win!) and my all time favorites, 2″ Round Labels.
The first printable I created was a folded card, with the phrase “Kindness is Contagious” on the front. Inside, is a list of random acts of kindness to consider trying out yourself, or encouraging others to use. My thought is, any time you practice one of these acts, you can leave the card as a reminder for your recipient, or another random person to do the same.
Since the Avery Matte Cards come with envelopes right in the box, I thought it would be sweet to place each card in an envelope, and then seal it with a sticker. I included six different designs, each with its own message to keep the kindness campaign going.
While campaigning solo is fantastic, it would have even a greater impact if you had a group of friends, or perhaps classmates or students that you could work with together to spread your message. I’ve found that the nicer you are, the more of a chance that kindness will be returned to you, and to others.
I’ve even included a bonus printable— a 5 x 7 “Kindness is Contagious” art print that can be hung up in your home, office, classroom, etc— or placed in random places like on a community bulletin board or a telephone pole. Sometimes even a small reminder is all people need to do something extraordinary.
Printing and assembly is super easy, especially if you are using the Avery products I mentioned in this post. Don’t have Avery products on hand? No problem at all. I’ve also provided you with files you can use to print using your own paper.
{ PRINTING USING AVERY PRODUCTS }
Download the files below, and upload to Avery.com/print. Choose to “Open a Saved Project from Your Computer” and open the file. You can customize (if you wish) and print. You can print using the corresponding products, or Avery will print them for you! There’s no corresponding product for the art print, so please use the PDF below to print that on your own.
{ PRINTING USING YOUR OWN PRODUCTS }
For the Folded card, I suggest printing on card stock or paper with a bit more weight to it. Print the front side of the card first, and then print the back side on the same sheet of paper. Every printer is a little bit different, so this may take a little experimentation. Mine required me to flip the page over, before sending it back through to print the second side. Once both sides are printed, cut the two cards in half, down the center, and then fold each one over, horizontally, so it opens from top to bottom.
For the Stickers, I suggest printing on 8.5 x 11 adhesive paper and then trimming each circle out with a pair of scissors. You can also choose to print on regular paper and stick them using double sided tape.
For the Art Print, print on 8.5 x 11 paper at 100% (can be card stock or regular paper) and then trim out.
I hope you will join me in this “Kindness Movement”!
