::This post has been updated for 2016::
It may not be Halloween yet, but it’s pretty darn close, which means I think it’s cool to start thinking about my favorite holiday— Thanksgiving! My family has never been big on assigning seats on Thanksgiving. In fact there are so many people that you are lucky if you even get to sit down at all! Nevertheless, I know that there are families and groups of friends who are a bit more formal and would make good use out of this month’s free printable— some lovely place cards!
These place cards can be customized by typing in your guests names using Adobe Acrobat, or you can feel free to handwrite the names for a more personal touch. I ran a tutorial awhile back on how to add text to a PDF, which you can find here, if you need any help! The font I used to type my name is called AW Conquerer Slab Light, and it’s free to download. You can find it here.
The back side of the card has a place for you to write in what you are thankful for, so it can be displayed to the entire table. What am I thankful for this year? The success of this blog, made possible only by all of you wonderful readers. Thank you, thank you!
There are two PDFs included in this download. One that can be trimmed out with scissors and the other with your trusty craft knife and ruler.
Will you be using place cards at your Thanksgiving table this year, or does your family take a more casual approach to celebrating? I’d love to hear about your traditions in the comments section below.

The “Give Thanks” Script font used is called Bombshell and can be found here.
