Without organization and planning I’m lost. If I don’t have a to-do list handy, my productivity goes out the window and I end up down an internet rabbit hole, which inevitably ends at YouTube. There are a few areas of my life where I feel like I have good systems in place, but meal planning isn’t one of them. Cleaning isn’t either (consider this to be foreshadowing).
In the past I’ve tried to do meal planning using my Google calendar, but it just wasn’t getting the job done. “Chicken Parm and Spinach Salad” seemed to get lost in between “Dentist Appointment” and “Send November Issue Pages to the Printer”, which led to this bad habit: way too much takeout.
Alas, this weekly meal planner was born! Visualization is everything and I think having a space that’s separate from my other responsibilities and commitments is going to go a long way. It also helps that it is way prettier than my Google calendar which makes me excited to use it. I hope you are, too!
If you want to ditch your Google calendar all together, I’ve also designed a brand new calendar for 2015 to match the meal planner! Some things are just better on paper.
