The greeting-card day of the year is soon approaching and I know that all of us designers are in recovery from Christmas, while at the same time, scrambling to get our Valentine’s Day projects completed. If you need a little inspiration to get the gears turning, I thought I’d compile a list of my favorite, go-to romantic styled fonts.
Like my other collections of font favorites, these are typefaces that you’ve probably seen me use time and time again, in my blog artwork, free printables, or in my Etsy store. With all the free fonts out there, it’s hard to pony up for paid ones, but if you are doing any sort of commercial work ( whether it’s for your blog, a printable or a client project ), you need to purchase them anyway— so why not go for the good ones? Fonts are my favorite type of investment. They are gorgeous to look at, and they help me to create top notch projects! Win-win.
My favorite Romantic fonts can be found here: Pretty Script // Burgues Script // Risotto Script // Quickpen // Carolyna Pro Black // Cantoni Pro // Ondise // Adios Script // Peoni Pro // Poem Script Pro
Font used in “Michelle” signature: Carolyna Pro Black // Font used in title: Trend (also used for font IDs), Trade Gothic Extended and Melany Lane (swirls)
Have you created something special for Valentine’s Day (or any other project), using one of these beautiful fonts? Please leave a link in the comments section so we can see what you’ve come up with! I know we all love being inspired by one another’s work.
