I’m always extra excited (and in a weird way nervous) to share personal posts, even if they pertain to my business. Today, I’m sharing a peek into my sister Allison’s Bridal Shower, which took place a couple months ago.
The hardest part of planning this shower was not having the bride herself to help us. She is our family planner, and absolutely loves putting together events like this, so I think it was equally as hard for her to be on the sidelines. My other sisters, Lisa, Laura and I worked our hardest to put together something special without the assistance of our family boss and planner extrodinaire.
The theme of the event was inspired by Kate Spade, which we thought would be a great fit for Allie because her style is clean and classy (and because she has a little bit of a shoe-buying addiction). Since it was a springtime shower, we used bright green with accents of pink and navy for the color scheme, and of course lots of stripes. The spring factor ended up being a bit of a joke since we were were sprinkled with some snow on the day of the shower, but we kept it very bright and cheery inside!
We did not hire a professional photographer to capture details from the day, but our cousin Sarah graciously volunteered to snap photos for us, working with very poor lighting conditions and our mom’s not-so-great camera. She ended up getting some really great shots, considering what we gave her to work with, so I wanted to make sure she got a special shoutout.
Enjoy a look into this very special day in honor of my dear sister!
